Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Caravaan, the ride-sharing platform at caravaan.ee. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

Caravaan operates caravaan.ee. We are not yet a registered company. When registration is complete, we will update these terms with our registered name, registry code, and address. Questions: info@caravaan.ee.

1. The service

Caravaan connects drivers who have spare seats with passengers who want to travel the same way. The platform provides accounts, ride listings, booking requests, messaging, and ratings.

Caravaan is not the carrier and is not a party to the journey. The agreement to travel is between the driver and the passenger. You are responsible for agreeing the meeting point, the time, and payment with the other person.

2. Who can use Caravaan

You must be at least 18 years old.

If you offer rides, you must hold a valid driving licence, keep the vehicle lawfully registered and insured for carrying passengers, and give accurate vehicle information, including registration documents when we ask for them.

By using Caravaan you confirm that you meet these conditions.

3. How you must behave

You agree to follow the laws that apply to you, including road-traffic rules.

You must not:

  • Use the platform for anything illegal;
  • Harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone;
  • Offer or ask for anything illegal;
  • Give false or misleading information about yourself, your vehicle, or a ride;
  • Discriminate against someone because of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, including after a report of harmful behaviour.

4. Payment

Passengers pay drivers directly, in cash or by bank transfer. Caravaan does not collect, hold, or process the fare, and the platform does not charge a booking fee.

A driver may save an IBAN on their account. After a booking is confirmed, the passenger can see the driver's phone number, email, and IBAN in order to pay. Disputes about payment are between the driver and the passenger.

5. Ratings

After a ride, drivers and passengers may rate each other and leave a short comment. Ratings are visible to other members. Do not post anything abusive or untrue.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the text, photos, and documents you upload. You give Caravaan permission to host and display that content for as long as needed to operate the service, including showing a ride, a profile, or a message to the people who should see it.

You confirm that you have the right to upload that content. The Caravaan name, logo, and the software that runs the platform belong to Caravaan.

7. Accounts

Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account. To close your account, email info@caravaan.ee. We deactivate it as described in the privacy policy.

8. Responsibility

We do not control what drivers or passengers do online or during a ride. We do not guarantee that a ride will take place, or that another member is safe, qualified, or accurate in what they post.

Choosing to travel with another member is your own decision. Drivers are responsible for driving lawfully and for having the insurance the journey requires. Passengers are responsible for deciding whether to travel.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, including liability for our own duties as the operator of the platform.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will post the updated terms on this page before they apply. If you keep using Caravaan after that, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the platform and email us to close your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, and the courts of Estonia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
